Let me start by saying this…
Ever since I started blogging a few years ago I seem to always be playing catchup with it. With this job being as recent as a few days ago this is a definite attempt to bring my blog bang up to date with what is currently happening in the business. There’s a real reason for this.
A well worn debate within photography circles is the question, “does Facebook negate the need for blogging?” More often than not a selection of any project/job I do will appear on my Facebook Business Page first, and a more detailed blog follows along at some later stage. Is a blog doubling up to the same audience? I’m not going to go into this in great detail now but it’s something I intend to specifically blog about in the coming days, and something which I hold particularly strong views on.
The reason for me even mentioning it in this blog is because its something I’ve been thinking a lot about recently in regard as to how best to market the business, and from a very timely point of view it so happened to be that Emma (our model below) is one of those very few people these days who isn’t on Facebook. Subsequently on this occasion no model to be tagged on Facebook, and as I’ll discuss in a later blog post, a resultant even lesser viewing number of people on Facebook.
Before getting to the photos I’ll conclude for now by saying this, I think Emma is completely right for not being on Facebook and its extremely refreshing to be publishing images here which haven’t ‘done the rounds’ on Facebook.
This is agency represented model, Emma. I only know Emma via a mutual friend (no, not a Facebook type of mutual ‘friend’) but a so much better real life friend, Anna Henry. Both Anna and Emma were runners up in this current year’s Miss Northern Ireland contest. Emma is currently represented by ACA Model Agency in Belfast.
As usual we stared with some head shot type images to showcase both Emma and the first makeup look. All makeup was by Louise Gardiner.
A change to our grey studio wall, here with a complimentary coloured gel and beauty lighting on Emma.
Here’s a selection of images from the rest of the afternoon…
